"I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." [Philippians 4:13]

The Martha Mariam Vanitha Samajam is a spiritual organization for women within the parish.  St. Mary is the patron saint of the samajam.

In our parish, the Samajam meets every Sunday after Holy Qurbana for an hour. These meetings are a reflection of the very motto of the organization:  pray, act, and shine.

During our weekly meetings, we gather to pray together, do Bible readings, sing hymns, listen to sermons, discuss issues that are relevant to our lives, and organize prospective charitable projects.

Throughout the many years of its existence, our Samajam continues to support some charitable projects that encourage women to live out their Christian lives by financially supporting and praying for those that are less-fortunate.  Each year, our Samajam gives $250 each to four needy individuals in India; the names of the recipients of this money are selected by four randomly chosen Samajam members of our parish.

Once a month, our Samajam hosts a fasting prayer at a member's home.  The fasting prayer is a time for our Samajam members and their families to gather together to give thanks and address topics to pray about.

Members of our organization also attend the two main conferences that are hosted by Martha Mariam Vanitha Samajam of the American Diocese:  The Annual Parents and Couples Meeting and The Annual Conference.
